The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tel Aviv is looking for a/an
Office Clerk (m/f/d) in the Administrative Section
(Part-time position 75%, equivalent to 29.25 hours / week)
to be filled as soon as possible
Duties:
- Point of contact for social security law issues, including the management of social security contributions; interface between administration, insurance operators, and insurance companies
- Collaboration and preparation of payroll; point of contact for the external payroll office
- Support in tax law matters (preparation and monitoring of annual tax forms)
- Maintenance of the doctors' list, coordination of visits by medical personnel from the headquarters, and organization of vaccinations and first-aid courses
- Processing of incoming air freight and point of contact for the local customs agent
- Administrative correspondence with Israeli counterparts
- Processing of incoming and outgoing mail
- Other administrative and office tasks
Requirements:
- Very good written and spoken knowledge of English and Hebrew; knowledge of German is desirable (or alternatively, the willingness to take a German language course)
- Experience in administration, logistics, or knowledge/previous experience in payroll/salary accounting is an advantage
- High degree of reliability, discretion, and organizational skills
- Goal-oriented working style and assertiveness, particularly when dealing with authorities
- Ability to work in a team, flexibility, and resilience
- PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience in payroll and salary accounting as a „Chashav Sachar“ is desirable
Terms of Employment:
- Part-time employment 75% (29.25 working hours per week)
- Salary according to experience level (starting salary 9,750 NIS), plus statutory social security contributions and insurance premiums
- Additional employer benefits (e.g., seniority allowance, travel allowance, etc.)
- 5-day week (Monday to Friday)
- 30 days of annual leave
- Limited to one year; an extension is possible subject to suitability and performance
Contractual conditions and remuneration are based on local law. Applicants who are not Israeli citizens must hold a valid work and residence permit for Israel as well as an Israeli ID (teudat zehut) (please attach a copy as proof). Willingness to undergo a security clearance and a medical examination is required.
