The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tel Aviv seeking a
Handyman (m/f/d) in the Administration section
(Fulltime job, 39 hours / week)
to join the Embassy Team as soon as possible
Duties:
- Participation in the technical service of the Embassy and support of the technical caretaker
- Participation in repair and maintenance of buildings as well as maintenance of operating technology
- Contact person for property management, local service providers and other local contacts
- Participation in the purchase of office supplies, cleaning supplies, other consumables
- Sometimes to receive and storage of cleaning supplies, furniture and other heavy deliveries
- Supervision of external companies in Tel Aviv and Herzliya Pituach
- Simple technical cleaning work
- Other administrative and office tasks
- Occasional use as a driver
Requirements:
- Car driver's license
- Good knowledge of Hebrew and English
- Handling of common IT applications (MS Office, Internet)
- Quick comprehension and manual skills
- optimal: experience in the field of electrical or air conditioning technology
- Organizational skills, high resilience and flexibility
- Strong teamwork skills in an international environment
- Sometimes Willingness to take on tasks beyond regular business hours (also on Shabbat and weekends)
Employment conditions:
- Fulltime job (39 hours / week)
Salary depending from experience level (starting salary 10.200 NIS)
before payments towards social security systems and pension insurance
- Additional employer’s benefits (e.g. seniority bonus, travel allowance etc.)
- Regular 5-day working week from Monday to Friday
- 30 leave days per year
- Contract limited for one year with option to extend
Terms of employment and salary are subject to local law. Non-Israeli applicants must be in possession of a valid work and residence permit for Israel as well as an Israeli ID (teudat zehut) - please provide a copy as proof. The applicant’s willingness to undergo a medical and a background check is expected.
