The German Embassy in Tel Aviv is seeking a full-time (39 hours / week)
Driver (m/f/d)
to join the Embassy Team for a limited period
from the beginning of May 2025 until July 31, 2025.
Duties:
- Services as driver both within and outside of Tel Aviv
(also outside office hours and even on weekends and public holidays, alternately with the other Embassy drivers) - Drive the Ambassador and staff members to official meetings, in particular also in Jerusalem
- Care and service of Embassy’s fleet of vehicles
Requirements:
- Valid driving license, classes C1 and A2
- Several years driving practice (cars/trucks and moped) as well as experience in passenger transport
- Experience using “waze”
- Very good local knowledge of Tel Aviv
- Language requirements: very good command of Hebrew as well as good command of German or English is required; knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage
- High flexibility and resilience, readiness to work overtime (also on weekends and public holidays) and to take part in official travel lasting several days
- Ability to work in a team as well as high reliability
- Clean bill of health, fitness to drive (certified by a doctor, please provide a copy)
- Good manners and a neat appearance
Terms of employment and salary are subject to local law. Non-Israeli applicants must be in possession of a valid work and residence permit for Israel as well as an Israeli ID (teudat zehut) - please provide a copy as proof. The applicant’s willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical checkup as well as a background check is expected.
